If you’ve been recently ditched by your girlfriend, you’re probably feeling awful right about now. You still love her, and you need her back, and its devouring you. So how do you ensure that you start things off on the right foot?

1. Don’t phone her. You’re realistically not in a good head space to talk to her without saying something dumb due to errant emotions, and sobbing like a baby or begging her to come back is not going to help her see you as a proper life partner. Looking desperate is definitely not a good thing in this situation. The other beneficial aspect to this is that she will start to see all the ways that you were there for her when you were still dating, and that no one understands her in the same manner that you do.

2. Create the sort of life that she would be willing to be a part of. If you huddle in your house and mope, you’ll give the appearance of being pathetic. At the other end of the scale, if you go out and start dating randoms, she’ll think you’re a jerk and be thankful that she’s done with you. Instead, go out with your buddies, have a good time, flirt a little, and just generally be the sort of guy that girls like. The idea is that she should wonder why you’re not spending all of your time crying over her, and understand that she doesn’t want anybody else dating you before she gets you back.
