Intergender Wrestling
Mixed wrestling is a wrestling contest among female and male mainly among contenders of opposite genders as compared to regular wrestling where it’s typically a competition between which is generally played in between man and man, mainly between players of same gender. Tag team wrestlings are also sort of the alike thing as there are couples of man and woman opposing another man and woman players. This kind of professional wrestling is becoming famous as intergender wrestling. But inter-gender tag team games are bit different from the mixed tag team competitions. In a mixed tag team contest there is a most important guideline which confines male and female players to attack each other. If one of the participant tags, then the other team has to automatically change their participant. But the player has to be of the similar gender as the other team’s wrestler. So if it’s a man in the court then only the guy participant of the opposing group can come in the court to participate. This sort of tag team game has gotten a lot of recognition in the recent years.
To inform you with a little backdrop, not too long ago, male and woman seldom competed against each other, because it was found to be unreasonable and unbalanced contest. It is fair to say that intergender wrestling was first made famous in 1970s to 1980s by comedian Andy Kaufman. He proclaimed himself “Intergender Champion”. He openly challenged to any woman challenger. There are some other well recognized players including Jacqueline etc. Now a days mixed wrestling has become a popular part of organizations such as Extreme Wrestling Championships.
