Misstatements and Substance of Nursery Enrichment

Baby bedding has amazingly improved designs and materials compared to the old days when you were a baby. The choices for baby bedding were not as vast when your mother shopped for you, and color and theme options were limited compared to now. Unlike the very safe flame retardant materials used for fabric choices in baby bedding today, those in the past were often itchy, flammable, and sometimes even toxic.

The current norm is to prepare for the baby’s arrival in advance instead of rushing to complete necessary requirements after bringing the baby home. Bedding styles and fabrics vary widely, but all children’s bedding — whether cotton, flannel, or silky satins — is required to meet an exceptionally high standard of safety. With the research available today, you will not find any unsafe materials in baby bedding as you may have ten or twenty years ago.
